"Une mesure de censure incompatible avec la conception de l'Etat de droit", déclare Reporters sans frontières
"Cet acte témoigne, encore une fois, de l'acharnement des autorités algériennes à l'encontre du directeur du journal Le Matin (suspendu depuis 2004). Son précédent livre "Les geôles d'Alger" avait été interdit lors du Salon du livre d'Alger en 2007. Cette nouvelle mesure de censure, sans base légale, est incompatible avec la conception de l'Etat de droit dont se réclament les dirigeants algériens", a déclaré hier Reporters sans frontières à propos de la saisie du manuscrit du nouveau livre de Mohamed Benchicou, "Journal d'un homme libre".
RSF qui rappelle que le texte a été saisi, le 19 octobre 2008, suite à une perquisition des agents de police dans les locaux de l'imprimerie, a contacté Mohamed Benchicou. "Madame Toumi a fait justice elle-même en optant pour une lecture unilatérale du droit, dont le rôle est strictement réservé aux juges. Selon la ministre, mon livre doit être interdit à cause de son manque de patriotisme. Cet argument a toujours été utilisé dans l'histoire par les pires dictatures pour pouvoir écarter les idées hostiles au pouvoir. a-t-il déclaré.
RSF souligne que Mohamed Benchicou risque jusqu’à deux ans de prison s'il procède à la publication de son nouveau livre. En 2004, il avait été condamné et incarcéré au centre de détention d’El-Harrach (près d’Alger) pendant deux années.

Does the Algerian dictatorship fit the interests of the West? The answer is evidently yes. What kind of future could the Algerian people await when their dictatorship is supported by world-powers like France, the European Union and the United States? The turmoil in which Algeria has been living since its false independence is directly linked to a class fight, an aristocratic minority in power derived from the two racist colonialist streams -Arabic Islamic and French- against the rest of the Algerian people whom the president Bouteflika himself described as a scalawag mass composed of “dirty” Arabic and “footling” Amazighs.
The minority in power shows a limitless hatred towards the people who, according to it, deserve only contempt, repression and violence. This makes it impossible to get any true democratic reform especially with the manipulation of the Islamic terrorism to maintain itself in power and justify the repression and mistreatment of the deprived citizens whose elementary human rights have always been denied. The Tyrants in power don’t identify themselves as Arabic, or Algerians or Amazighs. They incarnate an undethronable supreme authority without any identity which has the right to control the Algerian people and the wealth of the country. Their only real political program since 1962 is to wage an unlimited war against the people to keep them kneeling and steal all their wealth.
It is then evident that the Algerian people are left between the hands of a strong cruel power, ally of the raptor world-powers of the West. An isolated and unassisted people who has no power, no arms, no foreign relations is urged to choose someday between a general uprising which would give birth to the wanted changes or a slow and painful death.
The door of the prison Algeria is locked. Will the people decide to break the door to win his freedom or will he remain passive to let his soul fade without moving? For the time being, no one knows what lies ahead.
merci Mr normal, bien parlé, pour l'algérie de sa propre anormalité, elle se rend à peine compte, de ses erreurs de conduite, conduire, sans permis, c'est grave... mais encore pire conduire en état d'ivresse, c'est le moyen de se disculper de ses horreurs gravissimes, comme la loi pour sobriété est plus clémente, moins condamnable, lorsque le sursis expirait, le récidivisme réappraissait, alors ça devient le voyous dans l'état, et l'état de voyous. merci bonne soirée
